Turbo Tax Error 42015 occurs when you try to update your software and your internet browser is using a proxy connection setting. Since you have proxy connection Turbo Tax may not be able to connect to server. Sometime your security software can create proxy connection setting in your internet properties.
Please follow the steps to fix this error. (This fix is only for windows operating system user)
Press and hold windows key (located left bottom of keyboard) and press R Key. You will see a run box as show in the image below.
Type inetcp.cpl and click on okay. This action will bring internet properties as showed in the image below.
You will need to select connections. In the connections tab, you will see LAN Settings. Click on LAN Settings and unselect a box which says, “Use a proxy server for your LAN) These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections).”. Now you need to select the box which says, “Automatically detect settings”. Try to update your turbo Tax software again. Check your antivirus settings as well. If you have expired antivirus or firewall system, then you may face this issue. If you have security system, then run a full scan using antivirus. Some viruses can create proxy connection as well.
